Chris Tatam is a  multi medium artist and in addition has been taking part in the craftsmanship of egg shell painting and decorating since 1989. 

He has been teaching art and crafts throughout the United kingdom for a number of years and more recently in the United States and onboard cruise liners.

 

He has a wide range of experience and knowledge in the painting of landscapes and seascapes, using the mediums of watercolour, oil and acrylics. 

More recently he has adapted his painting abilities into other crafts that incorporate a range of materials from decoupage and enamel to create Faberge style eggs using real eggshells.

Chris’s work has received many awards and prizes over the years including a 1st at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and a highly commended at the Crafters Guild of Great Britain.

To date his work has been promoted and published across various mediums.

Primarily Chris is self-taught and was inspired and encouraged by his grandparents from a young age, who were both acclaimed artists. 

Chris currently resides between Orlando Florida and Wales U.K on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. Where he has undertaken many seminars and exhibitions of his work. He is proud of his Welsh heritage and takes a lot of inspiration from the natural scenery of his homeland and this is reflected in his creations.
